I'm deeply offended by his comments. As a hispanic employee I feel marginalized by his racist comments. We are forced to sit through equality meetings where corporate espouses inclusion and diversity but at the top we are proven to have a bigot.
If an hourly employee or manager at a Lowe's store made the same comment they would be fired. If they do not terminate Joe then they have no credibility and have opened the door to other employees to say or do things that can be harmful.
This is not right. If I were to say something similar and be terminated and Joe stays in position I would sue. Be who you say you are Joe.
