Has anyone heard if they may offer a voluntary exit for non-agreement as they did previously? I was not in a position to do so over a year ago when they came up, but I would certainly consider it now; hopefully it would save someone who doesn't have a great alternative.

Seriously ? Come on maaan. Every single manager at Union Pacific put in for that severance. The only people they actually awarded it to were basically a few people close to retirement. It was mostly an early retirement thing. It’s positions they want to eliminate. If you’re an mto at a location they need mtos at they aren’t going to just give you six months pay on the way out cause they love you and you’re a swell guy. There has to be something in it for them. I’m not sure if you have noticed this but UP is sort of greedy.
What kind of severance does agreement get? That's right...nothing! Who gives a c-ap if a non-greement gets something to leave the company. What about all those that gave themselves to trade their lives for a paycheck...to support their familes. And then escorted off the property with nothing! Life sukks. Just because someone hired on without union representation doesn't justify getting extra from the same company that hired them. I call BS. Get back in the job market like everyone
else.
That was a one time deal. There were so many that put in for it most of them were denied.
That's not going to happen. It's about saving money, not giving it! You might as well bend over and lube up! I haven't seen a single f—ing shred of sympathy from any manager at this company. If you're slated to be on the block, then just leave. Don't hold onto hope. It just makes the disappointment hurt more. I'm sure you were expecting a different answer, but you need to face the possibility of being sh—canned. Sorry
