Was the Q2 results really that good?

Taking a look Lowes comps were really only 2.3% compared to HD at 3%. Sure we beat HD in comps in the US by 0.1% but Lowes Canada must be underperforming since our overall comps were dragged down so much from 3.2 in the US to 2.3 overall. Maybe exiting Mexico effected results also.

Also online growth per lowes.com was only 4% compared to HD at 20% with HD having higher sales overall too. We only had 0.3% transaction growth compared to HD at 1% and average ticket we did beat them at 2% compared to HD at 1.7%. Overall sales only increased 0.5% as well

Maybe it's just me but I don't think this quarterly report deserves a 10%+ stock boost in one day. Surprised when everyone said it was a roaring success. I am no stock expert but it seemed like z mediocre report overall.

Amazing how mostly people on here are modest level in regards to net worth and overall success but they post like they are titans of Wall Street or fiscal geniuses !!!!

Was not a stellar performance at all. Investors and Lowe’s corporate are cheering this as a major success but did they forget about the massive stock drop that took place after the previous earnings call? Let us also not forget that we are nowhere close to the 200$ price that corporate was bragging about early on in the year... (though Depot is well above that). Smoke and mirrors.

Its all artificial. Rarely, is a companies earning honest. Very few companies today do well on their own competence. Its usually being in bed with gov, and other elites and they all manipulate until caught or they go bankrupt. They are all parasites.
