Corporate said they were going to third party assemblers and fsa's so the associates could spend more time with the customers. Last weekend we did not have a grill assembled because we have no assembler, so 3 sales associates are putting a grill together for the p-ss-d off customer leaving no one in 3 departments to wait on customers. Tell me how that makes sense. Also we have to clean the disgusting toilets because the third party does not show up either. Genius

I’m pretty sure they were using three people because the customer was in foot tapping, arms crossed, waiting mode.
They have a great plan at my store.... Let's pull people off the floor to assemble all this junk for labor day. Yep that's really helping customers. It also won't work since at least two of us will be calling in the day we were voluntold to do a job they wanted to outsource.
We were told to only sell what has been built, the rest was put on pallets and top stocked.
As for the rest rooms out cashiers have always done everything but the toilets and mopping.
The news talk about how employees high tasking is diverted to third party vendors and more customer service hours . Nothing more far from reality. No coverage thanks to Kronos The artificial intelligence program and management. Tons of tasking and seems like is more important than customer at least for store management. MST teams never complete resets in full , finalizing is pass to store employees
That comment that Corp said about more face time with customers is all smoke and mirrors. FSA and assemblers never had anything to do with customers on the floor. So yeah they will pull employees off the floor now to do the the work of assemblers and FSA duties. But don't ask me to clean the bathrooms or put stuff together because I will not. I don't care, fire me please.
3 people for one grill? Not surprised. People always make quips about how laid back and chill assembly must be! Until they have to do the work themselves...lol 3 people. Wild.
