IT Town Hall on Tuesday

I missed the IT Town Hall yesterday. Did anything fun and exciting happen?

They did not speak much on next round of layoffs which is what I was looking for. Earlier I expected November cuts to happen. Anyone have insights?

Totally c-ap service Tcs continue to fail and they know it. The show will continue and mgrs squeeze those who can dig these mo–ns out. SC will bring his rentokill to.decimate the org further.

Restructuring HR would be a blessing. They have not been able to manage the fair assignment of year end ratings or promos for as long as I can remember. They have never been able to break the exec clubs and leadership back room alliances that still run this organization today. If you mess up big time and correct it, you get promoted. If you do your job without creating waves you stay forever under the radar and are ignored. Can’t wait till I get cut and get my package. Until that time, I will just enjoy the show along everyone else who hates what this place has become. I absolutely love the irony that soon HR will be in the same boat. A boat that is sinking and nobody from Pepsi will toss them a life ring. Karma ultimately gives everyone a hug.

The problem is the contract with TCS has already been signed so they have no choice but to move forward , unless they are ready to absorb a significant monetary liability. That is why they brought back SC from overseas to finish the job. Then it is onto procurement, legal and HR.

General feeling is that IT cuts will be held until the situation can be reassessed. So sad the transition of IT services appears to have failed before it even got off the ground. Look for a pull back on layoffs and a steady stream of excuses.

Town hall headline: No needle no scalpel painless surgery guaranteed. Wait for further updates in 2020.

I'm still with Pepsi. I just wanted the Reader's Digest version and some opinions here about what was said, specifically to help me decide if I wanted to put time aside to watch the replay. I did get a some clarification today, but nothing so shocking or confusing that I would watch. :-)

You did not miss anything. You can view the replay but my guess is you are not working for Pep just reaching for info.
Nothing to see here. Just moving on from JD 2 SC and now we have IT Tech Hubs with Key locations with key resources. I would check back in 2020 not much to see until then. No more IT Town Halls until 2020.
