Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Home Depot goes 90% cashierless, puts them lightyears ahead of Lowe's.

Home Depot now turns the tech screw on Lowe's by eliminating cashiers with automated check out. They have added those hours back on sales floor and quess what?; have hired disgruntled ex Lowes
employees to help their customers.

Lowe's is still trying to upgrade its early 1990 dBase POS Genesis. How? They are building a Tech center to house the brave souls who will code their new future......lol

I nominate myself as employee of the month for successfully completing a self checkout. Home Depot used to be good at customer service. Now, not so much.

If Home Depot spends all these hours on the salesfloor why can't I find any help in that damn place?

Home Depot was recruiting the sales specialists at my store, offering to pay they what they were making before Marvin took away their allowance.

Lowe’s is years away from any significant tech upgrades while they wait for their fancy tech building to be built. My cousin is a programmer and when I showed him the news articles about Marvin’s tech palace my cousin replied “nice but totally unnecessary.” My cousin works for a tech start-up, their offices are in an old school.
