All the rebadgers are aware of their fate, and I say, why make it easy for them. If we all refused to train our replacements we could make it much harder for them. I know it’s scary to lose a job and we all think that we bought ourselves some time by agreeing to that, in reality we are only being used by the company and then thrown away

Don’t refuse to train! Just do it half-assed. It’s not that hard. Your replacement typically is not as smart or has the background you have. HCL hires cheap which means low skill level. Xerox always hired the best American they could find. Use that in your favor. If the replacement can’t learn, you keep the job.
Is this dishonest? Nope. We all compete for our jobs. No CEO is going to train his replacement. This idea of asking a good worker to train some cheap replacement is what is dishonest. Make the guy work to take your job. Make the management do the training!
Do your job, and if it appears it's at risk, look for a new one and leave on your own terms. If you refuse to do your job, that might follow you in the future. What if you look for a new job and somebody that you used to work for or with is at that new location, and brands you as a problem?
Don't burn your bridges.
I think if you refuse to train your replacements this would likely be the equiv of you not doing your job and you could be fired for cause. You might also lose/jeopardize any unemployment $. Just man-Up and do what's needed. You'll be happier with yourself. Just let-it-go! HCL did not create this mess.
That said— go or keep looking for a job during this time. and Good Luck!
HCL has been beyond fair to ex-Zeroids. Not only do they offer a 401K match at EVERY pay period (effectively a 4% pay increase) but life insurance and medical premiums that are slightly lower and a severance package that is guaranteed in writing, not captive to the whims of Zerox top brass who have reduced employee severance from what use to be 1.5 weeks per year of service (up to 52 weeks for 30+ yrs) down to 8 weeks (in 2018). So glad my vacation entitlement of 6 weeks plus 2 floaters is locked in at HCL. Could this be the next shoe to drop at Zerox?
Why make it difficult? HCL has been fair to us. Xerox is who tossed us away like yesterday's garbage. Our replacements had no say in the situation, why take it out on them?
