If indeed PepsiCo plans to transition IT to 4 major hubs, who is left? In the face of certain job loss, I would think those most marketable have moved on. That would leave two camps remaining. Those who are struggling to beat the skills competition to lock in new employment and those waiting for the severance windfall. Neither camp would seem either able, or care, what happens to service levels. So what does this say for the interim status of IT as these sites are established? Will it be like rebuilding of a sports team that fans just accept they will s— for a few years before getting better? Last look IT was very top heavy with the majority directors not having a clue what was going on anyway. The directors must out number the front liners now. I think we are all waiting for this promised lean mean automated selling machine to take shape.

We got a ping pong table. I would expect an increase in staff morale now and improved productivity!!
It’s not just “the severance windfall”. For employees who are pension eligible, some are holding on to hit a certain birthday or service anniversary. Also, every month in the pension results in a decent increase in the lump sum distribution amount. So pension eligible employees are holding on to maximize that benefit. Bonus eligible employees are also holding out for that. These things are hard to walk away from when they significantly add to your net worth.
No one care any more in those left behind from what I know. I moved on. Enough of lying Indira jody and Tcs. So I said tatA.
Good luck to getting hubs. Same croonism will prevail
