What motivation or incentive remains?

PXD is doing fine. Our production is growing every day
People complaining about the circumstances have a right to, especially if they used to work for the company when it was revered by others. Just because we all make good money doesn't mean we shouldn't complain. It's not unreasonable to want to work for a company poised to grow and that offers substantial career development for its people. We spend, what, 10 hours a day at work? That gets old pretty fast when your company is stagnant or in a freefall.
Did you know people who took VSP were making more money than middle level managers? Being a manager in PXD does not mean you make more money.
Don't most oil companies have a shallow org chart? There's a reason this industry has the highest revenue to employee ratio.
Can’t we all just get along and accept that nobody is actually making any money right now?

Nothing says I’m more agreeable to cratering my career than an extra five thousand bucks. Fair trade off for the lost mentorship, training, and career growth. SS praises the new HR but they are simply out of touch. I’m a robot on an assembly line now.
