Spot on people, this person nailed it.
Barra has turned out pretty bad. Customers are paying for her ridiculous and unrealistic “zero” vision that customers actually don’t want. Social Justice is not going to save GM.
Roger Smith was actually visionary but poor at execution. Jack Smith didn’t have a vision and built cars nobody wanted with cheap interiors. Waggoner was disconnected. It’s probably been 40 years since GM had a great CEO that “got it”.
Forbes 500 coming out, GM lose to Ford, and Ford becomes largest America Auto Company. All people who worked and are working in GM should feel bad. MB and GM current leaders let us down, and they are worst leaders in GM history.
Barra for being on the social justice warrior silicon valley sisterhood of the woke bandwagon and trying to remake GM in the image of google.
Smith and Barra, why? Several reasons,
1) Poor management means letting go of good employees and lack of how to retain them.
2) Lack of putting exiting product to market
3) Poor marketing tactics.
4) Moving people around like cattle
5) Discontinuing modals instead of perfecting them.
6) HR and bran counter interference.
7) absolute waste of financial resources.
8) Using race, gender and s-xual identity as a manipulation tool to shift focus on being an auto company - Barra...
9) Not allowing the engineers, designers creative control and expression.
10) And this is a biggie, Hiring and then firing people for absolutely no reason, destroyed the culture and work life balance on a continuous basis and ruined thousands of families lives.
