Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Class Action anyone?

I’ve got the EEOC info for 3 recent layoffs. Clear age discrimination but Xerox “general release” (bribe for severance) has scared everyone I know into not litigating. Class action is not prohibited by the release. What is the interest level for this group and can you share your own view on age discrimination at Xerox?

At the time of my "boot" out the door, I was 60 years, a high performer and had a classified disability that did not stop me. Would have thought I would (somewhat) be considered to be a "protected class" to maintain Xerox's EEO hiring compliance levels. But to these folks, the almighty dollar trumped everything else and paperwork was shoved up my backside with no warning. Yes, I cannot sue individually but a class-action is intriguing and many lawyers would salivate over the prospect of trying. Three others canned in my group were over 50. Keep us posted.
