not sure if this was asked before, but do you know what a typical severance package at Sabre is?

SVPs Harish Mysore (Strategy) and SVP Jamie Patel (ASD) were asked to leave. Mysore in early Aug and Patel on Aug 28th. Both given a hefty severance package

So lay offs are over? Not as far as I heard. Last lay off was early May. Senior staff! Then they have the nerve to spend thousands on anniversary parties. Very sad indeed. Tap talent almost all gone.

I have found out that Sabre has sent out specific instructions to all the managers of laid off employees, that they are not allowed to give a reference for the employee even if they would really like to. How do you like them apples?

Our BA was laid off last week in KRK (TND).

Your severance check should be more than your normal pay check, because there are no deductions for medical, dental life, vision or 401K.

What I meant was that my severance pay was a couple of hundred dollars less than my normal pay. Was wondering why it would be.

I received my first severance pay today, which I thought was supposed to be for a period of 2 weeks like my normal pay. (I'm eligible for several weeks.) Anybody know of a reason it would be less?

It makes sense to let employees go in phases to circumvent various regulations connected to group layoffs. Moreover, the execs may want to see how many people leave on their own (without receiveing a severance) before making any further decisions.

There will be no more layoffs in technology. Why would they do it in phases? People will tell you anything to get your attention, do no believe everything you hear.
