Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

How many total?

Somebody mentioned that over 500 people were affected yesterday - do we know if that's the final number? Will there be even more layoffs or changes announced today?

I'm really hoping the answer is no, because I'm really not sure how much more of this I can take...

Don’t forget they have said$640m savings in 2019 in IT, HR, other. That’s a whopper of $520M even after all HCL is done with for relatively low budget groups. Can I say “massive further cuts are planned”?

Numbers guy. Nice job laying it out. I think 120K in savings per loaded employee after Xerox pays for HCL services is very high. I agree with you that it’s the beginning. There is only so much that HCL can do to save with eliminating functions, automation, global outsource for 1,000 employees to achieve that level of savings. I’m thinking they would need 2x this action conservatively. Sales people round up their savings so that’s why I’m saying 2x. It’s just beginning if the numbers are correct.

If I was moved to HCL I would call it a day. 99.9% chance you’ll be let go.

The HCL contract is estimated to save Xerox $120 million per year.

There were approximately 525 XBS employees who moved, 275 between direct and Canada that moved, and another 200 worldwide bringing the total to roughly 1,000 in this first round.

Moving 1,000 people to HCL isn't going to generate anything close to $120 million per year in savings.

This is only the beginning of the HCL story.

Hard to take a response seriously when someone can't type the additional two letters to note 'you' instead of 'u' in a disjointed sentence. Do we have tweens working at Xerox now?

I hope they really chop off actual people thay I can stand for don’t work.. and take advantage of their salary. I hate seeing tenures go.. it speaks for itself if people have been around for so long. I’ve seen so many have been humiliated by this shirt hr team which should also be replaced if the whole company is.

If this is stressing you out, simply get a new job. It's not that difficult.
