Absolutely disgraceful how this company treats people. I was a contractor laid off in Dec and still have not received my personal belongings.
If you find yourself on the new org chart, you are as safe as can be expected.
There is no "in the clear". General Motors is not a company that has stability or security associated with any job. If you were there to remember the bankruptcy times this is the same as 10 years ago. So the former vice president of Human Resources, who failed the company during bankruptcy, now CEO, is failing it again.
MARY B. 20 million salary plus 20 million bonus in 2017. Between the president and vice presidents, the direct reports to MARY B. , they each are being compensated 10 to 15 million dollars a year.

I like the response that mentions that the leader of the group will gather everyone and let them know. That’s priceless. That would assume we had a leader. From my perspective we have puppets that know nothing.
Once each organization is finished with its dismissals, its leaders are supposed to gather the team to announce that the process has completed for that group but to be respectful as other departments may not be finished.
