Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Lowe’s doesn’t want to keep its workers for a long period of time

Sad, no doubt, but it’s the new company policy, which means that the longer we stay at the company the more in danger we are of getting laid off. This is not a company in which anybody, except maybe the c-suite management, can pursue a career in. The sooner we get this through our heads and start to seek our fortunes elsewhere, the better off we will be.

I was also the lowest paid associate in my dept after 13 yrs. The mangers kept taking the people in my department and scattering them throughout the store. I was left alone 80% of the time. When I complained, I got an instant bullseye on my back. When I saw my co-workers in Pro sales sitting and cutting up, that was enough. I stayed so long because I loved my job. Unless you s--- up to your managers and are part of the “good ole boy club” you will keep getting sh-- on.

Couldn't agree more.

I am one of many, if not all, long-time associates at my store who are looking to get out. We are fed up, we've had enough, and we are tired of dealing with lazies that make the same or more than we do.

I've been with Lowe's seven years now and I come to find that I am the lowest paid associate in my department. This does not make me happy to have children working their first job to be paid more than me. I brought this up with my store manager and was told "you're not getting anymore."
