Had department meeting with SVP yesterday who explained high level effects of reorg. The only question on everyone's mind was "am I next" ... no one dared ask but HR was in the meeting and to "ease" everyone's jitters HR said "there will be no negative impact to this department" (whatever that means). As a follow up, HR said we'd be meeting individually with HR to determine impact of reorg on each individual. Since HR didn't use the "L" word, I don't think they're quite done with the chopping block in CSC.

Normally when an employee is releveled they DO NOT decrease your salary ~ you might lose a bonus going forward if lower level is ineligible and over time what uends up happening is your salary is in the top portion of the band and when increases are given you get a lump sum instead of an increase ~ s---s either way ... but at least you still have a job
I was in that meeting and there was no confirmation of releveling by VP. Not that it matters, when the question was asked, VP danced around it as if it was a layer of hot coals. My take, she didn't want to tick people off by admitting some folks were getting demoted..I wouldn't put it past PEP to give some nice pay cuts to go with those relevels.
We at FLNA HQ are being told that some functions, such as Trade Spend, are moving from Plano to CSC.
i doubt there will be layoffs in CSC, what I think the vp's agenda for CSC is to cut headcount by people resigning, This will be done by re-leveling some (this was asked during the meeting and confirmed) while leaving others out plus piling work to people's plates to force them into quitting. its the same thing that happened last year at this time, re-org, shuffle work around, have a mass exodus in March.
"there will be no negative impact to this department"
That means you will not be missed.
