IDS HAPPENING!!!
Mas reduction ahead for GE Power.
News flash....GE Power needs to cut heads in middle management BIG TIME. You still got way too many chiefs and not many indians. GE never learns their lessons. As for people jumping ship to aviation good luck there ...once GECAS gets sold Aviation will be the next division to take it in the shorts.
Aviation is so top heavy now as it is. Way too many chiefs pissing in the tee-pee.
Back in mid Q4, the Supply Chain GM for Power sent a note out telling all the salary employees to apply for roles in Aviation. It was a heads up to get out of Power as layoffs and cuts are to be expected.
If you aren't busy getting your resume ready, you better be busy preparing for a early retirement!!
I'm so sad. Here I thought we didn't know. I was wrong. Some people know. Some truly insightful people do know. I thought we might have hope. There is no hope. All is doom. Sad us.
@X8kDg5G-xyl is correct. The company has to save some good news for investor's until after what's expected to be a sh---y earnings call. For investors, layoffs are an instant cost cutting measure, for the company, employees are expendable, and the only concern the union will have is the loss of dues revenue...
Several employees in management positions from Power are applying for, and getting hired, by Aviation. I don't believe those positions are being backfilled either. It doesn't look good for Power. Looks like they are still downsizing.
Would not want to be in any "Alstom" facility after GE pays the fine to France, they'll recoup the loss by getting rid of all the employees.
Might be quiet till the earning report comes out. Then things will probably get a little dicey around GE.
