Any info if North Platte will be hit or is it the Golden child?

Nobody is safe. The company is grabbing as much cash as it can. Either to merge or buy eastern track or to look attractive to a potential buyer. They are picking places apart with little to no warning as I'm sure they don't want people getting "injured" right before they get layed off, hence why there is no warning. Unfortunately other Railroads are eyeing to do the same thing that UP has done. Lean line 2020.
The end is nie!!!!
Don't work there, fortunately, just curious. The town is trying to impress people to move here, which is a big mistake.
If history repeats, I would guess that there would be a layoff by April at least equal to the number of people who show up from the South Morrill shop that is getting closed down. When Denver was shut down, the number of people layed off at South Morrill was equal to the number of people who showed up from Denver...Electricians and F&Os anyway. We have been "assured" by Big Chief Spreading Bull (aka Mark Henry) and our Union that NP is safe until the end of the year... which ends in 32 days. Let the animosity and hatred towards the displaced SOMOs begin...
You bet. That's the thanks you get for moving out there.
Yes
Certainly NP is on the list. Anywhere there are inefficiencies...things need to be corrected/changed for the better. Cha...Ching!! Time for some serious 5S around this place. Lol.
