Can we expect any more layoffs before the end of the year or are we safe at least throughout the holiday season?

Since 2016 the 3rd week of January which is right before the 4th quarter/fiscal year ends has been heavily anchored with major company changes, layoffs, and store closures.

Much as I hate to see anyone lose their job, after all the laziness and payroll waste I saw in the assistants (and most of the cos, for that matter) I welcome this sweeping purge. Those assistants display the most grotesque abuse of power I've ever seen in the work place, and most of them are dumb--stumps
This will be coming to walmart stores next. It's just a matter of time. Every February there are huge changes. Next year will be the same. I have nothing to prove this, only 26yrs of watching it happen over and over. Dont let them fool you. Robots will take over and jobs will be eliminated. Jmo
November 15th was my last day. After 15 years, my position was eliminated.
I transferred to a neighborhood market a few years back.
The neighborhood markets , in our region, eliminated assistant managers, support managers, department managers, and csms.
They are going to teams. Pretty much, everyone is a stocker and when the stocking is done, the teams take care of everything else.
Absolutely. The year beginning meeting this year is taking place before this year gets over. The first time that has happened. That means the cuts will come when the store Mgrs get back so they can start the year off running with everyone on the streets
