People keep mentioning January layoffs at Union Pacific as if they are a foregone conclusion, and I'm yet to hear any concrete bit of information on it.
Was there an announcement I missed? Something? Anything?
Why is everybody so convinced next month will be so bad?
Lance and other leaders have been very open saying there would be cuts first quarter next year. Jan 10ish has been a rumor floating around though I’ve yet to hear that from someone in leadership. But my VP have openly said first quarter in our department meeting. Early Jan rumor makes logical sense...since that would be before earnings release and bonus/merit announcements.
