If there are Halliburton Layoffs in 2019 what departments and positions will be affected the most?

Life, jobs, is better after Halliburton...don’t worry too much
More layoffs coming for North America this summer. Whole offices/plants shutting down. Restructuring is a bulls~~t term for keeping the investors happy and Executive Level Management flush with cash and perks. Check on Market Watch to see how many shares the exec's have sold since January. Not many of them have purchased our stock this year. That should tell you something. The companies that HAL has acquired over the years have all but been destroyed along with their cultures. Someone said management doesn't care about the employees. They don't. Get out as quickly as you can. Haliburton is dying. Don't let it take you with it.
My friends, if management is truly STILL restructuring due to redundancy, well then something is dreadfully wrong. Management has been using that tactic since ? what ? let’s see 2014? If management is still relying on that approach well then our management is truly SFB, S__t For Brains. Perhaps management truly lacks the ability to adapt and innovate in which case THEY NEED TO GO! But like our astute co-poster stated it could be a situation if HR covering for mngnt incompetency. HR need’a get a clue, when the sutuation demands people get thrown out the life boats, they are just like the rest of us. Bahhhhhh hahhhhhh hahhhhhhh, bahhhhh haaaaa hahhhhhh hahhhhhhh, heh heh heh hehhhhhhhhhh
“Restructuring to reduce redundancy”. Give me a break. You must be HR. It’s all to increase profits. It’s the ONLY goal now for big red.
The Halliburton massive lay off cycle seems to come around every 2 - 3 years now and no one is safe. These pst three months I’ve heard about 3 month admin employees to 25+ year VPs getting escorted out the building. I myself was laid off after 18 years during the 2016 downturn. My advice to all those who remain
Be nice to people, suppliers, vendors, customers, employees. You never know when you might be the one asking them for a job.
There is a level of arrogance with Halliburton supervisors and managers. You’re not safe so be nice to people.
Restructuring to eliminate redundancy in district/regional levels.
What is going on with all the movement in management?
Here in Texas they’ve been laying off 30+ year employees and a supervisor just told us that they’ve laid off 10 crews between Odessa and San Antonio.
I gave Halliburton 9 years of my life. My wife got 6 in as a nurse. My mother gave them 22. My father just over 25. I’m the only person in my family that didn’t get axed for 1 simple reason. *I left on my own terms, to escape the constant worry. I’ve seen great people, for no other reason than greed or favoritism, get walked out of this company with severance packages that are all but useless. 10 year cycle? They do this every 3 at most, then over hire just after to create the next one. Good luck to all who work there, but know this: Halliburton doesn’t care about any 1 employee......
They’ve already started layoffs in Texas. They’re cutting out important training classes, and spending more money on cool new toys. If you work for them you should know we are all just a sap number. Just like the pumps that’s all we are. The management is piss poor and keeps going downhill more and more. The only thing they’re worried about is being politically correct. Management says it hurts them to lay-off, we’re all one big team, a family, well they should have thought about all of that before they started wasting money on dumb stuff and put a bigger investment on their crews.
10 years my a— . I have only been here for 8 and I am pretty sure that it happens every 2 years.
10 year cycle HA can you not remember 2014-2015 about 30,000+
You are coming up on the 10 year cycle of lay offs very soon. The current company mis managements stated a few years ago they will dump the field employees in masse as they have no value when things slow down. That is why they don't teach anymore, they do not value the workers and see no future for them. There is NO career at Halliburton anymore. In fact the young snot nose mis management types do not know some of them will be included in the layoffs but they don't care either.
Layoff the A&T lead in singapore, he is useless
Close that aberdeen office waste of space and time.
If your not in the field - temps will be replacing you first! That is the start.....
Aberdeen needs to go first. All I see on here for years is all you whining and complaining. Do more work - put your hands on something that creates value!
Since Colorado elected the rabid, ULTRA-LIBERAL ANTI-oil and gas activist, polis, as governor, SAY GOODBY to the oil and gas industry in the state.
By this time next year, Brighton (Ft. Lupton) will be shut down.
Layoffs guaranteed for anyone who does their job well and is paid poorly. Can only keep the overpaid and poorly performing management cadre.
Frac will get it again. Especially in Zanesville
They are all 1 team so all will be effected as your correct more lay offs are on route as company is not performing at all share holders are the people that need to be kept happy as for work force they are not considered.
Baroid aberdeen could do will major pay offs especially under achieving managers and leads as said waste of time these folk
