I was displaced. But I'm glad to be out of that toxic environment. Will not be reapplying for any Walmart positions. I remember when Walmart saying was are people make the difference. Now we're just a piece of crap on the ground that they step on and don't even pick up.

Usx has ads for drivers in the TN market saying they will be WM dedicated. Looks like WM drivers are the next to go.

What do you mean by HR is moving towards 3rd party?

People are in serious denial if they don’t see that a 3rd Party is cheaper. Let them pay WM so they can do the work and pay the workers less. Remove the liability off WM.

We already have 3rd Party in our DCs throwing freight. Don’t think it can’t be done in Transportation? Guess what, it’s already happening and will continue. It’s way bigger then anyone thinks!

Hasn’t anyone noticed how HR is moving towards 3rd Party? Wake up folks. Sit back and start adding up all the pieces over the past year together. It’s obvious what is happening. Morons at the Home Office couldn’t keep a secret if they’re life depended on it.

If positions aren’t being filled and hiring is frozen...guess what? It’s truly sad for anyone that’s been around any length of time. Managers leaving, Drivers leaving, Shop people leaving..etc.

Funny you mention parts jobs, we heard several are going to 3rd Party repair shops and some may actually shutdown. Sad for sure. Talk to onsite AP or the maintenance managers in the DCs, they probably already know.

Each transportation office elliminated 2 ops mngr positions, all safety clerk's, all customer service clerk's, and all shop parts clerk's. 10 positions for each office. It looks like home office is paving the way to outsource the private fleet. Every employee that owns stock gets a voice at the shareholders meeting next month. I'm encouraging everyone that is upset with all this and the direction the company is going to vote out all the board members. The other option is to go with the flow and do nothing.

It’s far from over. The WM people are being replaced in most of the Grocery DC’s. Driver pools will be reduced in those markets and moved out the RDCs.

Rumor has it down here that Companies are in discussions already with several transitions under way. Hub Group, CEVA, Swift, USX and few others were down here at the Home Office. The poor bastards in the field have no clue. In a year there will be no WM presence in Grocery or at least onsite.

Stores, DCs, Offices, if you’re not hiring then you need to worry.

Our transportation office had 6 full time positions cut and one Ops Manager position cut. Two positions workloads were split 50% to other coordinators and robots. No coordinator positions eliminated, but shaken up and forced to bid for different schedules and a cut in hours. I give it a year while they implement the transitions and make sure it’s running smoothly and then half of transportation jobs will be eliminated starting with seniority. Welcome to Walmart:

Heard that on average each dispatch cut 7 associates, including ops manager positions.
