Thread regarding Noble Energy Inc. layoffs

Collapse?

Barring someone doing something terribly wrong, do you think the execs leaving knew they needed to get out sooner due to collapse or something similar?

It’s a realization that Noble is a subpar company. Most of the people who leave will do much better elsewhere. I don’t know anyone who would work for Noble. They have no chance of recruiting and keeping experienced quality people. You can’t act like a-holes in a downturn and expect all to be good when things improve. People remember that Noble was the worst of the worst during the downtown. No one wants to work there. I left Noble...now pay my is 25% better, bonuses are better, matching is better, vacation is better, morale is better. Everything is better.

No indea how many actually left on their own. I can only think of one who now runs a company but I think he left because he didn't think he would ever get the opportunity at Noble. I think most of these guys hang on as long as they can and eventually a situation occurs and they end up "resigning / retiring" with a very significant payday.
