More high fives today. All DM and above positions get a year end “retention” bonus if they stay to P6. How bad is turnover?
There are much better companies to work for if you just take the time to look. Only thing keeping most at AAP is age (near retirement), fear of change, or stupidity. Why work for a company that thinks so little of you?
No one in Roanoke has been given a raise or a promotion. Most people are looking for other jobs while they wait to be laid off. Earnings were up based on cost cutting. Every other number was down. People are scared and they don't believe anything management tells them any more.

When your dm barely gives you enough hours to operate a store. When the field team talks about yet another regrouping of stores. When they are already looking at changing the store hours to close earlier. When you don't have any inventory. Or drivers to deliver what parts you can get. Most at the store level aren't fooled and realize the ship has nearly sunk.
And from what I understand, nearly everyone has left Roanoke and the ones that have stayed have been given a raise and promotion. I assume that was just to try to keep what few they could. I've also heard that they planned on keeping Roanoke open. Who knows. Either way, AAP is in trouble if it can't figure out how to compete with rockauto and amazon.
They can make those numbers look anyway they want them too. Don't fall for this smoke and mirror games they are playing with everybody. I bet this stock don't stay up there long before it starts dropping. This company is in trouble. It paid 2.1 billion for a company that could have made them a gold mine but due to their incompetent management team they are losing about 50% or more when they close a CARQUEST store and integrate in with an advance store. They close a real parts store and move it in to an advance which can't service or provide fleet or heavy duty parts to commercial customers. We have cut our help to where we can't provide service to customers like CARQUEST did. We have 6 delivery vehicles at our store with only 2 or 3 drivers on any given day to deliver due to DM running store's payroll and then they want to know why sales are down. What a bunch of STUPID DM's and above we have in this company.
Cut 475 jobs field or 1000 jobs total,any company can profit.
