While the layoffs were in full swing did anybody notice the site assessments taking place at the Woodlands campus and multiple cbi facilities across the map. site assessment are done when properties are being purchased think of it like a mechanic checking out a car before you buy it. The facilities hse guy was chatting about it when he was escorting them around the building on wednesday. I wonder who the new suitors are? Any guesses?

Couldnt be so lucky, CB&I are incompetant at best. They have run F&M into the ground putting hundreds out of jobs. Bad decisions by amateur management solely to blame.
Surveying and inspections taking place at Laurens F&M facility too. Scheduled shutdown for March 2018. Appears due dilligence inspections prep for property sale!! Buyer waiting in wings...
GE would not touch this flea ridden dog
Saw the assessing going on in The Woodlands. Rumors are all over the place. Makes sense to move all remaining employees at corporate into one building and then lease the other one. Who knows...maybe the buyer of Technology will lease a few floors?
I hear GE has made a tender off of $25 per share and may be purchasing shares for a hostile takeover.
I believe they are going to sell both of the buildings in the woodlands and then LEASE out just one for CBI
No if it was for the hurricane it would have been by an insurance adjuster like at the Beaumont shop. Phase 1 site assessments are for sales and loans. Not hurricane related at all. Cbi was worth more with technology, it was making money.
could it have been possible that the site assessments had to do with hurricane Harvey. I do not think there will be a Suitor to cb&i tell the technology division is sold and proceeds used to pay off cb&i outstanding debt. at that point cb&i will be a good acquisition for some company in the construction industry
It was also going on at some of the shops so not technology related. I wonder if the old Shaw owner is buying us back with our own money.
