Personally I think that SLB will try to get out of the pressure pumping business. The old Dowell/DS brand was never fully accepted as being worthy by the old guard. Wireline staff hated the pumping staff. Pumping was kept around because it provided such a large revenue base but even before the downturn hit, pumping was barely profitable. I expect the JV to slowly move out of the SLB camp when revenue from other sources can replace the pumping revenue. Let's face it, most of the smartest people from the pumping segment are either gone or have been marginalized, where in the past those people would have been protected.
YAY! More layoffs!

Pit (trading floor) says oil should hit 30 before any rebound. Two questions here:

Short term fix for frac crew shortage. Doubt they would merge. SLB has too much debt. $700M going to Nigeria and they will never get that back from they rebels.
So far, it is just a joint venture in stimulation. Look up OneStim on the Hub.
Already, slb dont have any technologies lately, they like to get more than create
