Maybe Bp will relocate anyone that is left to the old Corp building on 13th
Vision 2020 was rolled out when again? lol, what a con job
We already have almost 1000 empty desks at corporate, building one is almost empty. Old corp has three of the four floors empty and we don't have many people at Alco building, OA is gone, concept is gone, depot is gone. I bet we've already lost 1000 employees in 2 years since this started
Empty desks?? Cabela's may continue to cut payroll to minimize the bleeding, but BP has no authority or input until the deal is finalized. BP folks may wonder the stores and the corporate hallways, but until some money changes hands, they are just spectators. If the grim reaper shows up, he'll be a familiar face, not someone from BP. It'll be one of the same 2-faced liars that we've have known all along that will be inviting you and your co-workers to a "quick meeting".
Things will change quickly and we will see a lot of BP people around it will be a ride, not fun, but a ride. What will be interesting is the number of lackey leaders from the hill they continue with - it will be a clear indication if this will really work or not
Why will there be empty desk???? Because of the uncertainty you just spoke of....Or because Cabela's will cut people to save face and improve the bottom line(if that's possible).....Or BP will reduce head count because of redundancy within accounting, hr, etc... That's why Cabela's has empty desks and will continue more empty desks daily/weekly. As far as retail, Sidney retail is running on a skeleton crew(that's putting it nicely!) I'm sure other Cabela's retail locations are seeing the same!
If BP pulls out of the deal they would have to pay Cabela's $230 million.
Was at the local Cabela's store over lunch today was like a ghost town. Few customers and worse yet limited Outfitters, ended up walking out because no one helped me.
Why will there be empty desks??? Read the story, the sale was approved, not completed. Nothing is going to change until the transaction is completed, and several steps have to occur first. It would not surprise me to see this same old tired story drag out until October 3rd, and then BP will walk away from this bad deal that gets worse every day. BP no longer needs to buy us to eliminate the competition, we're already dead. If you don't believe it, just visit one of our dark dirty stores, they're embarrassing.
Yeah, I'm guessing there will be a lot of empty desk/cubicles starting in the next few days/weeks!
