Was anyone successful in getting paid these extra BHI funds as part of severance packages/layoff. Anyone heard of legal/class action case(s) to pursue unpaid funds?

Is it true they can legally withhold the medical retirement if you do not retire by the end of 2018?
My husband and I contacted BP and Tower Watson in October 2016, the month after his regular employee insurance ended, and were told that the spouse is not eligible for any benefits from the plan until the husband reached the age of 65. We were also initially told that my insurance acoverage of about $700.00 could be paid from the f und until I started getting Medicare Part B coverage after which I would be entitled to have all premiums for Medicare, drugs, dental, supplemental paid from the plan.. We were told a few days later that the spouse is entitled to NO benefits until such time that the retire has reached the age of 65. They reimbursed my husband for my policies for September through December 2017. No they refuse to acknowledge it stating I did not sign up with Tower Watson timely. We appealed and now they denied it saying the spouse did not have pre 65 insurance with the Baker Hughes plan. I had it from 2013 through 9/2017 when they would not let me sigh up stating I would not be eligible until such time my husband 65, wich was in September 2017! Help!!!
Is this medical fund also good for the old BJ service company employees that were acquired by Baker Hughes ??
Anyone interested in forming a class action lawsuit for unpaid benefits ? Can anyone list the lawyers they used HR must have a policy of not answering any x-employee's emails .
After 20 years they could not answer back from 6 emails even about basic pay totals for severance. No respect for the former employees. I never want to work for these A-holes again , would rather work for a competitor for less just to help them take market share away from BHI.
Have to have 10 years service when let go.
I was there 20 years, but I do not think there is a time limit. I believe the only requirement is age. I think you have to be over 59 years old to collect. The longer you have been with the company, the more money you will have in your account. After 20 years, I had $25,000. Be careful they (HR) will tell you anything to get out of paying this. Hire an employment lawyer. Like I said it only cost me $500. They will get to the bottom of it. For some reason HR is intimidated by lawyers.
Those of you successful in getting retirement medical accounts paid to you...were you with Baker at least 10 years at date of layoff? That was a requirement I was told in order to be paid.
Yes, meets Obamacare requirements. You can also get the basic just like you had, but it costs $3000 per month. This will use up all your account quickly. I need mine to last until Medicare kicks in. I live in Louisiana and this is where I hired the employment attorney. HR really opens up when a lawyer contacts them.
Good luck to everyone, but get everything due to you when they lay you off. They will offer you the bare minimum.
In a state of exasperation
In what state did you hire an attorney?
Congrats to you for getting what had your name on it!
That's more money for Crackerass Crackerhead!
Hell yes they are sleazy why do you think they work in HR!
Do you know if catastrophic meets Obamacare requirements? If not you'll get charged a penalty by IRS on your tax returns.
GIT R DONE
They (HR) do not want to pay this. They even pretend it does not exist. They lied to me and said they did not know what I was talking about. I hired a lawyer and he refreshed their memories. I got it. There was about $25,000 in my account. It costs $1300 per month for the catastrophic coverage for my wife and me. But this will last until my Medicare kicks in. Keep after them. The lawyer only charged me $500. HR is sleazy!!!
