The Long-Forgotten Flight That Sent Boeing Off Course
A company once driven by engineers became driven by finance.

As the aerospace analyst Richard Aboulafia recently told me,
“You had this weird combination of a distant building with a few hundred
people in it and a non-engineer with no technical skills whatsoever
at the helm.”
Even that might have worked—had the commercial-jet business stayed
in the hands of an experienced engineer steeped in STEM disciplines.
Instead McNerney installed an M.B.A. with a varied background
in sales, marketing, and supply-chain management. Said Aboulafia,
“We were like, ‘What?’’’
LOL: I had a manager in engineering who held an MBA:
Yes it was as bad as it sounds. Not a bit funny, not at all.
Do you remember when the company was filled with engineers?
Law Suit against the Directors:
Boeing Directors are accused of dragging their feet in investigating problems with
the Max in a lawsuit seeking to hold the company’s board accountable for the loss
of more than 300 passengers.
A Boeing shareholder contends directors missed repeated red flags about the Max
automated flight-control systems — even before it was installed — and then
Waited months to launch a probe of the problems after a fatal crash last year.
According to the Delaware Chancery Court suit filed Monday.
The failure of board members to fulfill their legal duties to investors in the Max
controversy left Boeing with marred “credibility in the marketplace, a damaged
reputation and billions in potential business costs and liability,”
According to the suit.

From sloppy work to blown deadlines to deadly failures,
the company has lost its way. It needs tough love —
In the form of Congressional investigations.

In getting the Max to market we side steeped FAA regulations and knew better.
Wait until the public fully understands what we did with the MCAS system,
in order to get away with the unthinkable (which we did not)
The FAA unquestionably knew what we were doing was wrong.
It’s Black and White in the regulations, This Was Slap Stick Antics.
{All to get around the need for a type certificate and flight simulators}
I agree with every point made {except for point 7}
I believe point 7 should be a part of our national infrastructure
On Point 8. Any undue pressure exerted from industry {prosecute} Felony
its how we prosecute anyone who tampers with aircraft.
