Ever notice how everyone hides and pretends like a lay-off never happened. They probably even deny it when interviewing employees that ask about it. Oh we don’t lay off employees. Was there not a story in the Bible about denial.?

Does anybody really think those where voluntary retirements. If you believe that I have ocean front property for sale in Tulsa. They will cut and take more old folks with them. And if that isn’t enough tgry will fire more old folks.

I’m hearing 10%. Some OAs might be a heavier part of that 10%. Reorg departmental structure out this week or next at latest. Individual layoffs mid-October. Good luck to all.

Good point, it’s very true when you work in a large publically traded corp like Williams which lives from quarter to quarter you could get terminated at any time regardless of your performance. Have a plan b and plan c at all times, maybe s wn consider working for a private company or the government.
Yeah, I'm not sure that layoffs are over yet. I think there is supposed to be a whole other month of meetings and decisions before we even know what the new Williams will look like. It's not quiet denial. It is quiet patience with the system we do not have control over right now. There is only so much we can do while waiting for the decisions to be made.
