Thread regarding Frontier Communications Corp. layoffs

Terrible

Morale among craft employees is at an is at an all-time low. After over 40 years of being a proud telecom employee, I find myself embarrassed to admit who my employer is, thanks to the incompetent upper management that weaseled their way into power and ruined a once-great place to work for personal gain. This gang has destroyed the lives of thousands of good people. They belong in prison.

FL was never a Verizon moneymaker. It barely turned a profit and that was only the last couple of yrs before being sold to Frontier and it wasn’t even that much compared to the billions with a Capital B that VZ spent and never recouped on it’s investment in the state.

FYI,,Florida pushing Fios 1-Gig turn ups in CO's to be done by Sept 1st,by start of 4th quarter
Don't see them putting this kind of money if they are looking to sell Florida.IMHO
Florida was one of Verizon's better money makers before 2016
Not sure about WV Sale rumor ?

How can you trust IBEW when ZM throws ZP, OL, and BO under the bus for doing the same things she has done for over 14 years. Oh, she’s just protecting her $80,000 job with car allowance. She will tell you that you can’t file grievances and you should just do what management asks you to do.

You people don’t know TERRIBLE. Was it terrible when Hulk Hogan had to go against Andre the Giant? Maybe, but that didn’t stop the the Hulkster from body slamming Andre. Frontier will body slam the competition. The biggest problem that Frontier faces is IBEW, which has Frontier in a stranglehold. Contract employees are the future.

So true. I too was a proud employee for many years. Frontier was a very good company—until a unnamed lady in charge wanted to become the biggest by buying all of the junk companies on the market. Meanwhile, all of the existing companies suffered by running obsolete equipment, old copper, and the list goes on. Great customer service is a thing of the past. The techs are the ones that take the brunt of dissatisfied customers every day. CLECs are chomping at the bit to move in, plow fiber, offer great speeds at a reasonable price. Too late Frontier to keep afloat. Hate to see it go down, but the future is very bleak.

If I didn't know better, It would appear to myself and near everyone I work with, that the company is being deliberately run into the dirt. When a choice between a solution that has historically been the way to go Vs Managment's new dumb idea, guess which one gets the nod and the other the axe. Could these mo–ns have bought a successful company only to short their own investment to pad their own portfolio? Still, the best way to destroy a company is to ignore those employees in the field while playing fiddle watching Rome burn.

If my career and pension disappear due to these boneheads, you can bet the farm I won't let it go.

I am glad I left Frontier 1.5 years ago. I was a local manager and I could not take it anymore. I feel sorry for everyone below Director level from coast to coast. You deserve better!

It’s nuthin but a whole management team of liars. From Danny Boy all the way on down. You can tell them what’s wrong for months then one day some tool in CT or WV finally gets a clue there is actually a problem.... then they turn around and blame you! Never seen such a huge collection of spineless yes men and women in my life.

This is Frontier in a nutshell. SVPs threaten lower management with their jobs and saying it's working somewhere else and dont say where. Lower management cheats and hides problem so that they can stop getting threatened. Since problem never was really fixed same thing happens a couple of months later, revolving door.lol.

Leadership is worried about their golden parachutes. They cannot run a lemonade stand. No one from middle to senior management even know what this company does. When all of your team are sales and marketing lackeys how do you make operational decisions. Since the dopes decided to take the garbage AT&T sold it has nose dived.

Finance is looking at how much everything is worth for the bankruptcy court. Tickets are weeks out and no overtime. Bain is full throttle to bankruptcy. They are driving this disaster.

I'm starting to wish I was in one of the states being sold. Anything would be better than working for these incompetent ***holes. Everything they do makes it worse. This place is a joke.

Do you mean the same upper management who when they visit your center won’t even say hello to their employees?

You just now become embarrassed? For me it was on the first day when half the state of FL went down on the cutover.
