Got my invite. According to h1bdata.info, Citrix has 15 H1Bs starting between 10/27 and 12/15 including a PRINCIPAL PRODUCT MARKETING MANAGER @ $190K and a SENIOR DIRECTOR QUALITY ASSURANCE @ $235K. Why are we bringing in people from other countries and laying off Americans?

@ @PAUMbQN-car: I had the highest possible ratings for several years on my performance reviews, and I was up for a promotion. I still got let go.
Maybe you should ask yourself why you're being fired. If you are a good contributor, are valuable to the team, and stopped blaming other people for your problems, then you might still have a job.
I can tell for sure that H1B holders are being let go as well as anyone else. There are some with me in my own meeting tomorrow. Yup, I am gone as well as some I140 holders and some H1Bs and some green cards and some citizens. All from same team.
Dude are you nuts? Santa Clara has to import talent to improve quality? 40% of Citrix H1Bs are in Santa Clara. Why do you think we have quality problems?
All the Santa Clara positions are for the NetScaler team. they cant do anything right , look at the last two failed NetScaler releases, full of critical errors so they had to recall them. So they have to import people to get some quality into the product.
But paying $235K for a foreign QA director is too much. Citrix needs to reign in the out of control NetScaler product management teams and get back to real innovation
Citrix along with most tech companies are abusing the H1B system. They are definitely firing US citizens (all ethnicity) and replacing them with H1Bs. this is so frustrating.

Yet, it's almost entirely US Citizens regardless of ethnic background.
