Hello, can any of the eSurance folks in claims tell me if claims processor was a role in your organization prior to your rebranding to Allstate?
Asking for a friend. Thank you.

Serious question-Esurance doesn't have "processors" in the way you describe them at Allstate. We do have the BSO which handles certain tasks for both branch and Rapid Response claims such as filing claims with claimant carriers, sending out certain state required forms, processing stop payments and adding vendors to the payment system. At least some of the people in this role are in India. Branch claims are claims that would be non-Express claims at Allstate and Rapid response handles the type of claims that Express does at Allstate, I believe. The actual adjusters are responsible for doing most of what you describe as Allstate BI/Casualty and Med/PIP processor functions.
We actually already use Allstate for roadside, accident and secondary tows. Esurance does have a dedicated subro and material damage department. Total loss is handled to a large extent by the actual adjuster although I do believe there is still some paperwork processing not done by the adjuster.
The Rapid Response (RR) department also has processors which handle tasks such as issuing approved payments for both branch and RR claims. However, in my opinion, the role of the RR processors may be going away. They seem to be moving to automating a lot of the processes that processors used to do and then having RR reps or the BSO handling the remaining work.
There are two type of RR reps. FNOL reps are unlicensed and (as you might guess from the title) take first notice of loss reports. They are also doing a lot of the old RR processor tasks. The other RR reps are licensed and seem somewhat equivalent to what you describe as Express processors.
I believe another difference between Esurance and Allstate is that most adjusters handle multiple states and RR reps handle all the states that Esurance insures.
Nothing against those workers in India it’s not their fault for the corporate greed but I’ve been on the phones long enough to know when I’m speaking to someone in India . I’m and the esurance rep I spoke with definitely was from India although she may have been in subro but that’s still part of claims . Allstate India currently is handling dispatch among other things for Allstate claims its inevitable don’t be in denial
Ok so who did i speak to from esurance that had an Indian accent . That’s like saying Allstate doesn’t have reps in India . That’s false . Now we may not be 100 percent in India but there are some there . So to say that esurance has no reps in India make you the fake news sir
Esurance does not have claim reps in India. #fakenews
Last time I spoke to an esurance claim rep the were in India so that should tell you where Allstate is heading
Thank you for your response. Processors at Allstate are hourly, non-exempt positions. Some handle basic clear liability claims (Express Processors). Some are pip/med pay processors. Others are BI/Casualty processors.
BI/Casualty processors usually assist the injury adjuster with obtaining medical information, attorney follow up's, information searches. I think LDU processors offer a similar support to LDU adjusters.
I Appreciate any further input.
Esurance and Allstate had very different job titles but may have had the same role functions. What did did your role consist of? That will help answer the question better than just a title
I do believe that most Esurance roles had a large scope of functions than the typical Allstate role meaning that a person at Esurance may have been doing several things that several people do across different roles at Allstate
