Atherstone has been flatlining for years, add the most incompetent, unintelligent management team it’s ever had and the results are clear for all to see
only one plant in the UK thats safe, the one that is not flatlining

Plenty to go at in Europe nearly as many as in the centre ..
They should cut once hard not
Come every year
They should look harder at the labs no new innovation in last 20 years, we buy the technology in now so why all the labs

Guess I picked the wrong week to quit drinking.
As one famous 3M executive told me - you miss 100% of the shots you don't take.
I expect about 4K, maybe 5.
Once the cuts are made, the "leadership" will bring back more of those inane worthless comments.
- Work smarter not harder - what have we been working d-mb lately?
- Eliminate non value added work - you mean those 100 slide PowerPoints?
- We have found synergies- wait, what about jg14 and up?
- This cuts are helping us be more competitive, in order to save what is left- you mean more like grab a bigger pail to bail out the sinking titanic once known as Mother Mining?
- What got us here isn't what will take us where we need to go - as in, time to cross the river Styx for the next leg in our journey?
Senior leadership will spin it as " more work in fewer places".
Heard target is 7000.
