Not sure what that 3rd layer of MDs really do. Still surprised that two layers is’t enough. STS still feels bloated in administrative areas, not really focused on a business app

That's partly because those above them don't want to do all the mundane and time-consuming people-leader work - hiring, coaching, 1:1 meetings, annual performance reviews, promotion and salary process, etc. Schwab has an overly complex people manager process and the people who have not had to do that don't want to do that! When it's forced on they they will take shortcuts and not do the job they way they told people leaders to do it. Until they are themselves laid off.
I work in STS and there still areas where they can easily cut further. I noticed there are still an abundance of Senior Managers throughout the organization that have a handful of direct reports. As for the levels of directors, maybe they are not done retooling yet? I do feel for the teams that were torn apart with no relief from your workloads. At this point I'm hoping to last to a certain date and then retire. Going out on a severance package would be a blessing.
Send them home.
3rd layer will be laidoff
#DennisSuppe should go
OP really doesn’t understand how this works.
