They got rid of all the older people with 20+ years experience. As an asts I know one of them made $19 base an hour. Now they can hire someone new and pay them minimum wage an hour.

People brought back are giving notice and leaving. We let go too many people in June. The company should have seen this coming, happens every time we layoff people.
Is Macy's as bad as Barnes & Noble?

90% of the people (most older with years of service) who gave the store everything they had through rain or sunshine were not called back. They were the people us younger folks leaned on for knowledge and guidance not our irresponsible, bias, stereotypical store manager. The store manager had the opportunity to call back the "nodders and yessers." If you asked questions and challenge wrongdoing you are still at home. Those who are still in the store are holding their own and as we know what "charma " does. Evil prevails at the highest levels which makes it even more dangerous. Get in good trouble people and pray for us.
Yep! This was their way of getting rid of people who made too much money, didn’t perform to their standards etc. Now they’re going to hire new people for less and they’re going to double the workload. That’s the Macy’s way.
Thank you for posting. Imagine "my surprise" to see job posted I was ooffered. Guess the transfer did not work out.
My position was given to a former manager...and I was offered c-ap positions...and they are bringing people off the streets full time jobs...and not calling back laid off full timers ...What a company!!
