Thread regarding Bed Bath & Beyond layoffs

When will the announcement go out?

When will affected stores be notified? When will we know if our store is closing? Is there a chance that affected locations already know and those that didn't get the notification are staying open? I know there's no future at Bed Bath & Beyond but I could use some more time to get my ducks in a row before having to leave.

We were told at the end of January that our store would close by the end of February even after our DM repeatedly said we weren’t. We were offered transfers to other local stores but guess what? Those stores are also now closing. We’re now week two almost weeks three of liquidation and it’s bullsh-t. Oh! Also no actual signed paperwork for severance. Get your sh-t figured out because if your store is closing you’ll barely get any notice. Good luck!

Check the BBB website, once a store is slated to be shut down they remove the curbside pickup option. It usually happens a week or more before it's officially announced.

We had too many people with their heads in the sand all along in terms of bad news about this company. THAT, folks, is sad. Then they get this flash that Corporate will not bail them out.

well, my old store was notified last wednesday and they started their store closing sale this past weekend

if you didn't hear anything last week, you're probably safe in the short term, but we all know how this ends

Yahoo news and the MSM have been telling you since 2020. Just recently they reported as of January 4th the company is expect to file bankruptcy 5 weekends ago from 4 sources within the company.
This site has been telling you since 2022.
How much more heads up do you need. Lol!!!
Bed bath and beyond will never tell you directly because of SEC rules that protects. It’s always gonna be after the fact in a SEC and press release.
Stay for the steady pay or leave for something stable.

You had almost a full year (or more) to get your ducks in a row.
