I tried to work bare minimum

Last week I told myself that I would not be stressed anymore, that I wouldn't put in so much effort anymore and that I would only work the bare minimum.

Mission impossible!

That attempt of mine ended after I did a double workload and came home too tired to even think about trying it again. It's just not possible to do the bare minimum here and I have no idea how the rest of you manage to pull it off?

last post made me sad. why are you letting them abuse you ? you dont have to record/take notes/do spy to have self worth . I dont know if its because there are states where this is the only job available and you have to break your back or if its because you are selling yourself short but you need to stop for your own sake. Is all your pain and suffering worth it for a grocery store? No its not. Ive seen career people leave and get replaced and forgotten in a few days. If you are going to break your back, dont do it in retail, take a chance at least.

I have been way over worked so I have been recording and taking notes at work of when they want me stay longer and what the reasons are but my health has worsened and I know the insurance company like gallagher basset they will get rid of you after you get hurt here even after they make you stay longer and eventually your body gives out build a case be smart take notes, record conversations and make sure to know the names of the members of leadership doing this.

i dont understand how some people let higher ups overwork them because the company is broken. bare minimum is standing up for yourself when you get pushed around in life. you dont have to stay past your shift, you dont have to skip breaks, you dont have to do someone elses job on top of yours just because they quit or called out. Stand up for yourself because you are getting worn out to make someone else look good, and thats pathetic.
