Thread regarding Belk layoffs

Belk struggles to fill positions, employees dropping like flies, Black Friday sales lackluster

Belk’s Black Friday sales were fair, not what was expected, Omni sales dominated most store locations. customers showed frustration as Belk tries to dramatically cut costs by reducing the employee footprint and customer services, lines were long, merchandise selection lackluster. Belk has now turned into a discount retailer catering to the budget minded customer, for better or worse. Of course while employees worked DAT and managers worked on thanksgiving day, all senior executive leaders were off, some for as long as two weeks, while the blackout period loomed over all store level workers. As Gordon said, Greed is Good, unfortunately Bernie Madoff and Leona Helmsley didn’t share that same sentiment.

An intelligent He-l is better than a Stupid One Belk Paradise! Wake up and get out before it’s too late.

Everything you see at Belk right now is true. No matter what executive leaders and STM managers saying or lying, it is just a matter of time before Belk is going to liquidation soon. Remember the movie “The Out Law Jose Wales said: Don’t pi-s down my back and say it is raining”!

It’s all smoke and mirrors, just like the charity sale, Orlane and Perlier cosmetics, the corporate visits, etc....in the end it will be liquidation...sad, but true.

I’m fascinated about positions. There are “we are hiring!” endless announcements over intercom through the day, but when you look at “careers”, there aren’t much. We are struggling in every category ( dock, sales, operations) and some temporaries expressed interest to stay permanently if full time available, but no word on that so far. So are there jobs or not?
