@2iox Rudyards is the best. I'd take a night at Rudyards over getting a good raise
@1dse we are not full of sh1t. In the O&G Upstream MPT realm, everyone over 15 years experience makes $250K +. If you are non MPT then 125K sounds right. Any XTO MPT with 10 years at 125K is getting royally scrood.
@1dse - don’t worry. I think most of those $250K+ posts are full of $hit
YEE: 13
Experienced hire (4 years with EM)
CL:25
Pay :150k
Rank: Excellent
CL 27 (same CL for the last 8 years)
YEE - 30
ranking VG (was ranked OS top quint every previous year)
Old Salary 262k
New salary - No communication yet
I’ve received just under 5% in the last 5 years total…inflation is about 21% during that time, so essentially I received a decrease of 16%. It makes you feel like you’re not appreciated, but I shouldn’t complain. However, I made the decision earlier this year, I will retire the day I turn 55. I just don’t enjoy working here anymore.
What a clown show.
Most respondents are in the Mendacity Engineering program.
This layoff site is the funniest. Pay raises the topic.
A seedy houston bar has more to offer.
CL and ranking do not make sense
The better the company is doing, the higher my CL and ranking the lower my pay increase
YEE HAW
@1kqh+1k4el082 Seeing the size of the EU salaries listed below, I'd expect usd.
CL 27, $265k, YEE 12
@1dqu In theory, the midpoint of a CL represents market pay for a fully competent employee at that CL. A typical working range is 80% to 120% within a given salary range. When you get a CL bump as your career progresses, you are placed toward the bottom of the range to allow room to grow in your position. If your performance indicates you are fully competent at your CL you will progress to the midpoint faster. If the Company determines your advancement or potential is becoming limited, they will let you slide past the midpoint, albeit slowly even though you are fully competent. It is better to get to the midpoint and get another CL bump and start over at the new level.
I would like to know what part of XOM all these people that make $200,000 a year work in. I work at XTO and the majority of people make less than $125,000. Maybe I need to transfer to an Exxon location to really make good money.
- 5% raise puts me at $99,700
11 years at XTO
15 years experience
22 yee
I wonder if the European counterparts are posting their salaries in Euro or USD?
Someone asked time between CLs: Within my career, I’ve had as long as 6 years and as short as 6 mo.
@1qhs+1k4el082 Yeah, same for me too! Cl28, Europe, 150k. American salaries are massively higher than ROW.
Where do I sign???? 😁😁😁😁😁

I am CL27 - Outstanding - currently making 125k downstream trading Europe
Freely flexible to move anywhere
Thank you
“ if you're getting good raises, but on the lower end of the salary curves it means you are moving up and not over. ”
What does over mean exactly? Thanks for insight
@ioz if you're getting good raises, but on the lower end of the salary curves it means you are moving up and not over. There will always be room for an above average raise. As you get more penetration on your salary curve without promotion it limits what HR is can and is willing to do for you.

@nbd+1k4el082.. ya'll know that the right to share your salary and other compensation/ranking information freely is a federal right, yes?? Normalize having these discussions freely and openly with all levels of colleagues. It's to the employer's selfish benefit that they make you think you need to protect your identity.
New after raises - CL 26 $220k yee 20 OPWD
Dang. Y’all make beaucoups.
OP here. YEE 22.
OP- can you tell your YEE?
I’ve heard of essentially automatic CL bumps when certain milestones are hit, namely YEE (as my understanding). Can anyone clarify if this is a thing, or not?
For example does this happen in every 10 YEE increments, or at certain ages, etcetera?
CL29, VG (dropped from O this year), $335k. Was told I am over 100% of my reference salary.
Does anyone know the pay band for CL27? How long are individuals averaging in these CLs?
If $260k is mid for 28 what is 100%?
“If you get a bump to CL 28 and you are below that, it is a good sign.”
Thinking it’s a good sign when getting a promotion but with a below average salary is something that’s totally normal in Exxon World but ludicrous anywhere else. LOL
Also, YEE is not your years of experience. It’s your age minus 18.
Just a friendly reminder to round up those numbers when writing here or on any other similar social media (just to make your self unidentifiable) the goal is to inform others without revealing your identity.
