That meeting seemed more informational. Wondering if we should still expect layoffs.

The writing is on the wall.
It’s not coming
If Europe layoffs are coming this year, you can be sure that North America will also be hit. Management is just keeping it quiet 🤫& watching how GM‘s layoff in engineering & tech goes. Midwest engineering teams need to also prepare for upcoming swift kick🦵to the Cahónes😩😢
No layoffs until after November 5.
Layoffs would jeopardize Kamala’s run.
That can’t be permitted.
The corrupt Fed will be cutting interest rates. That move is reliant on the administrations phony economic data.
The result will be a disaster and when the markets come down companies will jettison workers.
No! No layoffs will happen. Get back to work!
Yes, the reality is that if you work for someone else, you will always be at their mercy for employment.
I’ve talked with my contacts that usually know well in advance and I haven’t heard anything definitive as of now. I have heard that Europe is going to get hit the end of this year.
Honest answer should be: Always expect them. You can stay at Ford as long as they will have you if that is your plan. Does it make sense to disrupt a decent paying situation and leave because of the "fear" of something? Likely not. If a time sensitive opportunity comes up and you have to move on it, then you have a choice to make. But overall the smart money is on networking like your "employment status" depends on it, because it does. Ford is going to be a stepping stone for almost everyone reading this. If you have 10-20+ years of career left and you think it is your last stop...then you have some soul searching to do. Additionally, there is a good chance those plans will be changed for you regardless of your preference. Always be learning, always be networking, and always be ready to walk away with a plan B.
Yes agree 👍. Firings will happen very soon.
That’s what I felt anyways
It's coming.....
