If we're supposed to be saving money, let's stop having TL surveys too. People are afraid to comment on them out of fear of retaliation (which is real), and anyway the only thing you are allowed to see is the TLs response to the feedback. The transparency is lost on this, let's 86 it!

Call the tip line for safety violations.it works..regional came down on my store in a pack to check up. Another thing that is have a friend write an email to global or regional anout your STL. They take emails more seriously than team member input.
The results were posted only once where I worked. Every other time, a summary was issued stating how wonderful they were. REAL management at professionally run businesses normally sets up three kinds of direct feedback channels: First, a FORMAL tip line for obvious waste, fraud, theft abuse or safety/ethics policy violations. Second, a FORMAL suggestion system where individuals can submit ideas to improve operations or efficiencies. These typically are considered by a committee that examines the idea and determines if it should be implemented. I have submitted these at a prior employer and they always followed up and explained the status of my idea and why/why not it could work or what the company was doing to already put it into effect. Some ideas were selected and the submitter gets a portion of the savings. Finally, many managers have a direct-channel, open-door policy where if you are not getting a satisfactory answer or resolution you are given a list of names to contact at higher levels. This is done by a FORMAL process that is tracked. People in the chain MUST respond! Real managers know that processes matter. Here, it's personalities and loyalties that matter. It's a dicatatorship run on the whims of the high priests at regional and global, and their cohorts. IMHO, these leadership surveys are just another internal propaganda ploy that are tossed directly into File 13 if they aren't highly complimentary or just used to identify disloyal people and get rid of them. End of story.
Why would anyone call global? To get fired? There are so few real protections for team members, I can see why no one feels like they can speak up.
Is anyone tried to call the global no to report safety or any other violation ?
Here's my thought on this! Like in the mislabeling/pricing scandal in NY, management brought in a third party auditor. On that same vein, if management cared about TM happiness, so why not bring in a third party which will deliver honest results to them about how TMs feel about TLs? Sorry this is not a TownHall. Hey, BTW why should we spend this money at the cost of TM happiness and also we have to reduce our operating costs by $300million by the end of FY2017?? JMHO
In the hands of an honest STL, you'd be able to ask and read the results of the TL/morale survey results with no judgments. The past few years have been really odd, when some coworkers of mine asked the STL to see the results he apparently got really defensive and questioned them on why they wanted to see the results. I don't know is this normal now but it used to be different. The result: everyone got paranoid about asking the STL, so people stopped asking. So why do we spend money on this I wonder, good point.
I have a great TL now (let's just say he works in an old town), but before coming to this store I was at a different region and the TL and ATL were shady as hell. They'd always forget to tare the packaging when our sales were off. It was depressing because even when we made sales for a minute and had a go with some good gainsharing our labor would get cut almost right away. I couldn't tell who was worse. The people cutting labor or the shady TLs trying to make a buck.
Our team leader told us that he can basically do anything he wants, and management will back him up. So the surveys have always been a joke, and a huge waste of money, especially if we never even get to see them. #WFMfail
Team leader surveys are used to weed out honest employees, because that is the last thing this corporation wants. Just look at the character of the average team leader. What a freaking nightmare. #WFMteammember
They have always used these surveys to try and target employees for having a bad attitude. It's all a scam, just like everything else this corporation does.
These postings r better then the therapy that WFM DOESNT OFFER ALONG WITH NO HOLISTIC ALTERNTIVE HEALTH CARE.....GREAT FOR A COMPANY THAT SAYS " healthiest grocery store" LOL
There's not enough Kool Aid in the world to wash away the public relations disaster that WFM has created. WFMteammember
Oops KOOL AID
It's all ridiculous.....TM cannot tell the truth....everyone told me they will believe the TL.....it's not transparent....WFM WE GOT YOUR NUMBER!!! Now make some more look aid for the new round of hires.
At our store we weren't even allowed to see the last team leader survey. The STL refused to post it. What a load of horse sh@t!
