I haven't heard of any layoffs there in a while. Since Lisa Su took over, that place has been kicking Intel's a-s consistently, so I see no reason why we shouldn't switch teams. It's not as if Intel has deserved any kind of loyalty from us, considering how badly it's been treating employees for years.

Don't tell me you are working on state of the art and leading edge stuff, everyone in Intel said so, especially those just got laid off, just look around LinkedIn.
Wake up. Intel in your resume is not just worthless, it's a debt.

Why would AMD hire you? If you’re so great why are you still at intel?
Nobody cares where you or anybody else apply or work. At the end of the day what matters is if you can put food on the table for yourself and your family.
AMD is building its data center validation using what is essentially Intel IP. Same technology but the names are changed to make it sound new. Does anyone think those ex Intel folks are starting from scratch?

Maybe they are in need of experienced leadership?
You can certainly apply but do your think having Intel in the resume will help? Not to mention the timing of applying.
