This place was the worst place in the world. Be thankful you can start over in a healthier corporate culture
What happened to Ted?
How does DP survive this?
Will be outsourcing tax, treasury and payroll
Hahha to store managers closing. Mine doesn't ever. I worked today and all my store manager kept getting was phone call after phone call not sure about what. So many rumors we're spreading around some were right some wrong not quite sure what's true at this point. Heard the entire customer service corporate department got fired not sure if that's true. Was also told no store managers or under was getting fired not sure if that's ture either.
any updates?
11 VPs reduced to 5 - one of which starts next week
500 associates in total let go... the majority of which in Union
Company going from 6 regions down to 4. Midwest region as it previously existed is gone and will be merged into what will be called the Central region. FG will be moving to the east coast region and DP will be in charge of the Central region. Just about all of the Midwest regional staff were let go this morning.
Who were the RVPs?
Entire IT teams are being laid-off
I worked in corporate until 2 hours ago. I can tell you nobody in the office is safe. It's a consulting company recommending all lay offs. Has nothing to do with performance. It has to do with the department you work in , the head count and your salary. Good luck to all
So sorry for everyone being let go. Any word on severance packages? Work in store and afraid it will affect us eventually.
I worked at corporate. Was almost all mid level managers and the remaining directors. Total house clean. Every department affected for restructuring. Only low level employees and a few higher ups left. Company looking to shed as much salary as they can since it’s end of their fiscal. Honestly not surprising given how aggressive that are trying to change how the company does business. They are way behind other retailers.
Real bloodbath in corporate today...including whole buying teams in categories...which indicates some categories being dropped. No announcements made, Just people being called in and laid off ad told to leave immediately. Still going on. Good luck to all.
All CS support positions eliminated. Hr confirmed to me approx 120 layoffs in support and hq.
Not entirely Corporate. Appears that two Regional VPs were let go yesterday, as well.
Yes
Nothing is effecting the stores today it's all in corporate. Upwards of 25 tenured VPs were let go yesterday. Today is everyone, directors , project managers , buyers and planners. Hundreds of people.

There is something going down in the Midwest region right now. Stay tuned. Big changes in the regional staff I’m hearing.
Not every SM closes Thursday and is off Friday. I haven’t heard and secret calls and it’s just me and the SM today so... I don’t believe there is a call
IT teams are being cut. Hearing more Sapient layoffs, UX teams will be touched. Restructuring of Ux teams and PM's merging and some work going to agencies.
(Store level) In most regions, store managers close Thursday and off Friday. So if we speculate anything happening it’ll be at 1pm today when the store manager gets in to have the proper conversations. As far as corporate, my guess I at hat this would happen between 12-3pm.
Sounds like between today and tomorrow about 200+ layoffs throughout corporate.
What time will the ax fall on us ?
Wed (yesterday) ~30 or slightly more director level and above in corporate. Today, managers and below. I heard a total of 400, but can't imagine that to be the case.
So more details on what happened. How was it bad. Like there is zero credible info yet. Is more coming today please say yes to high salaried being grandfathered in still doing nothing OPS, DM, please let this be addressed.
Too damn many let go!!! They didn’t deserve that whatsoever, especially they way it happened.
how many people totally laid off today any idea
Happened today in corporate
