Where did you hear Raytheon is tightening its belt "across the board?"
My understanding is that legacy Raytheon still continues to hire for new positions and is not facing furloughs / pay cuts.
Meanwhile, only SOME employees with Pratt & Whitney / Collins Aerospace who aren't direct charge are seeing furloughs / pay cuts (as usual, they're and choosing which folks they're exemptinf with no rhyme or reason).

Layoffs at the legacy SAS are happening quietly. I was unofficially told to expect notification next week. These layoffs have everything to do with the merger and your pay grade. In my department there are open reqs and I was told that I can not transfer to another role at my current pay grade and salary, but I can apply for an open req at a lower pay grades for a reduction in salary (there are no open reqs at my pay grade in my department and the reqs are at 2 pay grades below me)
I am a G10 (E5).
Which Collins department is doing furloughs every other week? I’m at IMS in Annapolis and we got a scattered 15-day furlough + 10% pay cut and everyone is teleworking.
All former Raytheon corporate employees should be concerned since there essentially is no more corporate and they will have to be merged into other areas or laid off.
There are layoffs at Raytheon legacy due to the business unit mergers and duplication of jobs. I was laid off during work from home after 30 plus years. Was told job was eliminated and would not be replaced. Given 1 year severance. Was told more to come till end of year.
all hourly employees at collins aerospace are currently furloughed every other week and have been since the middle of April and from what we can tell for the foreseeable future....
I can’t speak to whether there will be layoffs but the job postings in Rcareers are not all real.
The bupkes job postings don't mean much.
