Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Tone changing???

Are you noticing, in your store, the tone us changing how management is talking to you or others?

I keep overhearing "it's in your job description".

And the way managers are talking down on people.

I sense that write ups are coming before the cuts next month.

Ours are just getting very defensive and hostile if you ask any questions. One finally started to crack and just yelled at us during our little meeting that "this is all they'll let us tell you" Thankfully that's recording because it's a very bad idea to yell at your employees, cuss during a meeting, and then flat out lie to the few you're about to screw over, fingers crossed they had the sense to record their separate meeting from the rest of us. When it comes to Lowe's document anything and everything because it's about to turn ugly.

thats why you need to be sending emails daily and cc a corp or hr rep on them.. protect yourself. if you dont, yes., you will be one walked.
but these guys are so busch league that even mo–ns can protect themselves properly against them.

my hr woman said in an email after i proved i dont do my job ever, that she will never write me up and is aware of understaffed situation necessitting the sm to task me elsewhere daily.

cant do my job if im not at my station or tasked - write that to your HR rep in email... or file with ethics point online.

the blame is on them, unless they have given you every resource and assistance and left alone to do your job. then, you deserve to be canned. but if you are constantly pulled from pt a, to serve a need at pt b, then told youre not doing your job, thats an ethics violation on management and needs to be reported . be specific, list instances, frequency, names, dates...

prove that you are in a hostile work environment of daily harassment because you are being tasked away from your corp primary responsibilities.

its not hard people... when you aplied for your role, you were handed a role and responsibility sheet. in my store, NO ONE follows that and no one works their primary roles becaise of "store needs" and extreme lack of employees. you need to report that so you are covered.

Who's getting cut next month?

Yup it's because shareholders want to do more with less and get the other lazy people out from behind their desks and work on the floor. The problem with that is people who are already busting their a– are overworked and p-ss-d off and are either leaving or arguing with management.

Your managers come out of their offices and speak to you?

The best answer to that is smile, work your day, and start putting resume’s out. The next time they talk down to you, hand them a resignation letter.
Nobody has any right to talk down to you.

Odds are Target, Walmart, Hobby Lobby... pay better with more support. Many fast food places pay better than Lowe’s. Most bartenders get paid better than lowe’s employees, supermarket unions pay better, find a local union....

It was a preemptive warning at a morning meeting regarding IRPs.
