well I was just called by my manager and my manager's manager. they read off a script and told me I'm laid off effective immediately. I will be paid for 1 month and 1 month of health insurance. what a way to find out especially with the amount of money RJ has in the bank.

It’s not just IT but throughout Operations. CEO said a few town hall meetings ago that they didn’t foresee any layoffs so it would be nice to know what changed.
I was notified at 9am via zoom! No warning! So much for a family company! I am in Sales not IT - there are more conversations going on throughout the day!
This is 4% across the firm, and not just IT. I got the call today and know of many people who did as well that are outside of IT.

Worked in IT in St. Pete and got laid off today via Zoom meeting. Will expect my mail package to exactly see what severance package I am getting. Talk about the family culture haha.

There is a massive cleanup happening in IT right now. This is especially bad because of COVID and it's hard to find jobs now. We have ton of money - so, why? I think I am safe but my manager was laid off - I think it was performance based in his case.

Just got the boot from IT as did others. So much for being part of the family.
My manager just got the boot too. They're saying 4% of the company will be "reorganized," because of course they don't want to say "layoffs". Of course my other bosses are saying "There are no further reorganizations expected," but last week they were saying full-time employees were safe, and only contractors would be affected.
Shows us where that "Culture" goes when times get tough.
