Oh Dexter.
What in the world is this thread about? It isn't about Model e that's for sure.
This loser again. Ford is the big bad, you were the smart kid, everything is their fault. What did you do this week to improve your life other than wallow in self pity?
Really, what is soooo hard?
If you were so unhappy, why didn't you find another job!
Why is it Ford' fault that you lacked the initiative, education or backbone to put yourself out there and find a position with another company that would appreciate your "uniqueness"?
Given that your "valuable" years are a loss and waste because of Ford, did you do anything of significance in your life or did you just live for Ford' praise and acknowledgment?
I am sure this is a troll but if not, get counseling for your need to seek validation of self-worth though a faceless corporation.
@OP. Unless you are an HB1 visa holder, you can move. No one has you by the b.lls. Ford made you weak? Ha! I can believe Ford made you mediocre, stressed you out, made you feel like sh.t, but you are the one that stayed.
I know my skills have deteriorated in this place. I am not happy about it, but I stayed, because I acquired my skills in order to have a good salary. Since I have a good salary, mission accomplished. After all, the idea of working is because our need to make money in order to buy our needs and wants. If any of us were a millionaire, 99,99% sure that person would not work at all, especially at Ford.
We struggle for survival and having a good life after work. That's it. We sell our time, knowledge and labour, and Ford is paying us for that. Ford is not even squeezing all our value out, due to the maroons in management. That's on Ford and the C-suite, not on me. If I cannot move forward on a project or I have to spend my energy in meetings, instead of actually working, I can leave for a better company, or I can follow the mediocre FMC organization and wait patiently.
A lot of people left by their own, looking for more interesting jobs. A lot more were forced out by the layoffs. You can cut your losses and your stress by leaving. Or you could, like me, recline back and play the stoopid game, without getting stressed out. I am getting what I want (salary, life-work balance), why leave for a more interesting, but less paid job?
The main issue with Ford workers, is that they bleed blue, which is a big mistake. You are too invested in a company that is NOT your own. It is not your name on the side of the building, or on the vehicle that rolls out the factory. It is good to be proud of your work, but remember you are just a REPLACEABLE cog in the big blue machine. Better invest your time and effort where you are irreplaceable: invest in yourself, your family or your own company. Stop working 60 hours a week, when you only get paid 40 hours. The promotion, or better yet, the promess of promotion is not worth k.lling yourself.
Now, if @OP is an HB1 visa holder, I know you are being pushed a lot. That's OK. That's the sacrifice you are doing to leave your sh.tty country behind and give your family a better future. Do your best, and try not taking it personally.
The best piece of advice I can provide to all, is live below your means. When you have a nice monetary cushion, a lot of stress goes out the window. A lot of my coworkers are stressed and jumpy thinking of layoffs because they are broke. I am relaxed. I don't want to be laid off, but if it happens, I can stay without a job for years. No debt, decent side income from investments, and maybe if I lose my job at Ford, I'll buy a few properties and become a landlord, quitting the rat's race. So I have 0 interest in a promotion, or working for free after hours. Life is good, even when working at Ford may not be good.
Clean your house Jim.
Also if you didn’t know ford corporation is in fact guilty of black mail. And they use this forum to hint at possible ways to keep people quiet. If investigators want to check the http traffic, they can match up some stuff and I’m sure they were not technical savants with this in mind. Stay woke people. If you’re wondering what blackmail. Everything I said about my experience was true. I started my career very early unknowingly and was self taught. When you have no
Opportunity mentors guidance guard rails role models etc and u are thirsty for learning. You do all sorts of stuff and I’m talking starting at the age of 9 in the digital space. Ford motor company (ford corp) straight up blackmailed me to
Keep quiet after I reported unethical things I was experiencing. They think they are funny but they only just dig a bigger hole for the world to watch. I’m sure they have families that know how they treat people younger that don’t have the same power. I’m sure the other two automotive companies are watching and learning to not do what you do. They have to be watching in contempt. Should I start sharing about more specific stuff going on in my life related to this? Or from the past? Leave people alone. You guys sit and watch like it’s funny to do the things you guys do. Go ahead, eventually I’m going to share with my name attached and lay it all out because I want you folks to just stop. Get some heart. You are ki-ling talent and the worst part is that I’m not alone. People are watching closely and know. People probably also looked into fact checking my background after you blackmailed me ford. So people are probably watching. So let me share and express and heal how I choose since you are cowards who won’t give closure for for what you did + stack on and continue to do. Never thought grown adults would act like this I hope you all take a step back and just ask “what are we doing here”. Lost in the sauce because you wanted to make it hurt and played with lives that actually meant something. I’m sure that’s gonna be great to be credited for 15-20
Years when Im out of this nightmare scenario. Keep that same energy.. im sure that’s
how you power your lightning. I hope yall don’t have kids deadass, or I hope they don’t know yall are straight menaces. Lost in the sauce that you didn’t make yourself. Deuces.
OP: Where do you work within Ford? I am sure other team members here can help you or point you in a direction where you can improve your job satisfaction. There are plenty of resources available.
