I took the severance because I knew the amount of work would only increase to even more impossible levels. Already I was doing the job of three team members and if I had decided to stay I would have to do the work of at least five.

Uh, that "upgrade" involves more than buying one or even 1000 Windows 10 computers. Eventually it's possible to dig a hole so deep that you can't get out of it. That's what's happened with technology here. It's beyond a cluster-f&^k now. Look at accounting, ordering, vendor management, inventory, scales, recipies, scheduling, group management, kitchens, distribution centers, product management and point of sale, all on different incompatible (and buggy and ancient) systems done different ways all over the 12 regions. It's total marketing spin that they can miraculously migrate or transition this to some sort of seamless, highly efficient unified system. That's something that REAL leaders and qualified execs plan for on DAY ONE and execute over the course of their entire careers. Instead, they focused on creating visually interesting set pieces, leading tribal gatherings, admiring Walt Disney and having entire conferences over how cheese and cereal are stacked and merchandised. We can't expect the idiots that led us into this technological quagmire to lead us out of it.

Been there ten years too long. I want the severance.
The company is upgrading their computer systems which will be better for ordering.It will be automated.Therefore,no need for all those buyers.
Well now I will be buying more and not so much packing so....... #takecareimstaying
