is Macy's give a service package to part-time workers I have work for Macy's part-time for 16 years 20 hours a week
My last day was Feb 1. I have called HR several times regarding my severance. I get several different answers. Wrong girl Macys! I now have an attorney.
emailed mine in March 7th. received March 22 direct deposit. Last day worked was 1/31
My last day of employment was 2/24 and I received my severance two days ago. My initial last day was supposed to be 2/3 but they asked me to stay until 2/24. I turned in my signed paperwork about 1.5 weeks before my last day.
I was terminated mid-Jan and have received my severance. If that was your term date then you need to call HR. If later, then you might still be on time. Call either way. You'll be on hold 30 minutes, but for the peace of mind it's worth it.
Mine was in my checking acct this morning. I signed papers on 2/14-my last day. The severance was more than I thought. My case is different from most. I had 28 plus years but it was 13 pt night, 7 on call and 8 plus pt night again. I was told only the last 8 would count. I never had a break in the chain of service, only a change of status, so I was pleasantly surprised. However, I am devasted at this job loss and would rather have my job back. I have worked here longer than anywhere else; I raised my family while working part time. It does sound, however, that these cuts will happen every year to someone till the company gets itself back on track. I may try to come back for the holidays - who knows. Good luck to all those left. I don't think it's going to be easy with so many people gone, so just do the best you can.
